Welcome to the Moulin à Eau de Villepinte (in the Aude), near the Canal du Midi and the City of Carcassonne. Located in a dead end, in a quiet area with an 8000 m2 garden on the banks of the Fresquel river.
This wonderful property is situated in a corner of paradise in the small village of Villepinte, the heart of Cathar country with its castles, abbeys, medieval cities, the Canal du Midi (900 metres from the Mill) and 35 minutes from the City of Carcassonne, 10 minutes from Bram or Castelnaudary motorway exits.
What could be better than the old watermill in 11150 Villepinte. Set in the middle of a romantic park of 8000m2, close to the Canal du Midi and only one hour from the Mediterranean Sea. We welcome guests to come and live a few days in an old mill, renovated for your comfort accommodating a maximum of 17 people in the house.
All the spaces, equipped for a pleasant conviviality, are exclusively for you.
The Mill :
Arrival : after 6 am.
Departure : no later than 10 a.m.
The Mill has 8 bedrooms - accommodating 17 people.

There is a shuttle to Toulouse Matabiau SNCF station then a train connection to Castelnaudary.

The Water Mill of Villepinte is located in the south East of France, in the Occitane Region.
Embracing three different county: Aude, Haute-Garonne et Tarn.
Here you find various interested places to spend your outdoor time!
The Mountains, like the Pyrenees, the Black Mountain, the Lakes, the Cathar Castles, the “Canal du Midi”, some very nice bike paths along the stream, the city of Toulouse, Carcassone ( a Unesco Site), Narbonne with the beach and the Ocean, the traditional market of Revel, and much more…..
The famous “casoulet” a typical local dish, and the excellent Red wine of the vineyards “Minervois” The Black Mountain.
If you are a cyclist, we suggest you to do the bike ride from the Lake of Saint Ferreol, Barrage des Cammazes, the village of Saissac, until the Basin of Lampy, and back (50km).
The Saint Ferreol lake and the Basin of Lampy are also perfect for a nice easy walk around both lakes. At the Black Mountain, you can also go for a trekking or just an easy walk in the forest.
If you prefer using your MTB instead, here you find all the different trails for different levels.
The “Canal du Midi” is a very nice and historical site of France; along the river, you can walk or take your MTB and going from Villepinte ti the “Seuil de Naurouze” (30km)
Or , instead, going the other way along the channel, until the city of Carcassone (20km)
In the village of Revel, you have the bicycle trail called “ de la Rigole et de la Plaine”, It Is very nice and easy to do with a bicycle, and you arrive to a Lake called “Enclas de Lauragais” (15km).
From Carcassone, After your visit to the “Medieval City”, you could spend time visiting some of the Cathar Castles in the surroundings. One of them Is the Castle of Lastours; starting from the village of Orbel, there Is a nice walk, you can do in the forest.
