One of two self catering Nievre holiday apartments located in the heart of the Burgundy region of France. Burgundy is well known for its rich cultural heritage, interesting architecture, beautiful countryside, fantastic cuisine and, of course, some of the finest wines in the world.
These charming Burgundy apartments are situated in the small village of Avrée and enjoy stunning views out over the Morvan Regional Parc. Guests will appreciate the calm and tranquility of the area, as well as many interesting activities to keep any holidaymaker occupied. The picturesque village of Luzy is just 5 mins drive away with supermarkets, a petrol station, cafes, cinema and shops. Be sure to visit the lake which is 10km away and great for a swim.
The smaller of the two cottages, 'Le Charolais' is also on two floors. Special attention has been given to the interior decoration in terms of quality, to achieve a mix of modern comfort and traditional materials. In the cottage you will find traditional tiles, vintage furniture and some original, old beams.
The open plan kitchen is fully fitted and supplied with many modcons. The sitting area on the ground floor has authentic floor tiling, as has the dining area. Upstairs you will find a bathroom and a bedroom, with double bed and oak parquet flooring. All rooms have open views onto the surrounding countryside.
There is a lovely patio to the rear of the property, which blends into the garden and then looks over farmers fields and the Morvan national park beyond. There is plenty of outside furniture, such as a BBQ and sun loungers, as well as table and chairs for al fresco dining.
There is ample parking for guests.
Why 'Le Charolais'? Avrée is in southern Burgundy, the centre for trade in the famous breed of Charolais cattle.
