Luxury Holiday Apartment With Private Pool in Gattieres, Provence

With its own private entrance and terraces this self-catering apartment, set within a stone villa, boasts a beautiful private pool and is situated around 250 m above the Var Valley, offering magnificent views across the valley and down to the Mediterranean Sea. With gorgeous French windows, the apartment is South facing and opens up onto spacious balconies. Spend time relaxing in the comfortable armchairs and enjoy the sunset or the bright lights that twinkle like Las Vegas below.

The main bedroom of the villa with its large kingsize bed, opens up onto a beautiful balcony with exceptional views.
You will find a selection of good books in the room and there are two bedside cabinets with reading lamps on each. This room is air conditioned ensuring your comfort during the summer months.
Connected by a large long dressing room is the second bedroom with 2 single beds. All beds have new luxurious matresses. The shower room with toilet is situated opposite the main bedroom and is well equipped with excellent lighting and toiletries. All towels and bathrobes are supplied.

The access to the appartment is from the pool terrace, down several stone steps, with handrail, to the private terrace and the main door of the appartment. As you enter the apartment you will walk into the well equipped kitchen with everything you should require during your stay. Large fridge/freezer, electric hob, oven, microwave, washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, kettle, blender, radio, and plenty of dishes and glasses.
With its high ceiling and wooden beams the spacious living area / dining room is accessible through a large archway from the kitchen.
The lounge features a comfortable sofa and chairs, lamps, SAT TV with plasma screen, IPod/CD player base plus games. There is also a router for fast connection to your internet connection.The thick walls will keep this room warm in the winter and the ceiling fans ensure the room is light, cool and airy during the summer months. The large bright room is also air conditioned. You can access the balcony through large French windows, or the shady terrace, with its ancient olive tree offering shelter from the hot summer sun. You will also access your own lemon tree for that welcome gin and tonic in the cool evenings.

The kitchen leads you to the outside of this luxury apartment with its walled terrace covered in bougainvilea and an ancient olive tree. The Apartment has two private terraces on which you can relax over lunch or enjoy a romantic dinner under the ancient olive trees whilst admiring the breathtaking views down and across the valley. A  private BBQ is also there for your pleasure.

Our pool is heated from April to May and from middle September until end of October. It is surrounded by dry stone walls containing a charcoal BBQ, a summer kitchen with long wooden table and chairs, plus a roof fan. A large olive tree offers shade whilst relaxing on the comfortable sunloungers facing the sparkling pool. There is also a bar with chairs and a fridge to enjoy your summer cocktails. the whold area is covered with flowers.

Explore the daily markets available in the local area with a number of local producers offering fresh garden produce, especially the Gattieres strawberries .Enjoy wine tastings at St Jeannet vinyard, a Roman site where you can purchase great wines direct.
During July you can enjoy the open air summer opera in Gattieres, perfomed by a professional orchestra and choir. The village is only three minutes drive away, or you can take an easy 10 minute walk. It offers all the delights of a real french village, perched 300 m above the valley with spectacular views also to the snow-capped mountains. Join the locals and sip a delicious hot coffee and warm croissant whilst watching the locals purchasing their baguettes. Gattiers dates back to the 11th century. explore its cobbled, narrow. streets and admire the extraordinary views.

Nice and Vence are just 20 mins. away, with wonderful lanes to wonder round in the Old Towns. Sit on the Cours Saleya on market days, and sip a cocktail or two whilst watching the parade of people and their dogs passing by. Vence is a town full of art and artists with small boutiques and galleries. It is one of my favourite places to visit.
From Cannes, you can take a local ferry to the Isles de Lerins spend the day picnicking, swimming, fishing off the rock pools and wandering around the beautiful, pine woods.
The wolf park within the Mercador National Park is a must if you come with your children. Make sure you arrive around feeding time (1200-1230 pm) to watch the wolves eating.
Whether you love walks in the mountains, visiting local, perched villages, or enjoying the bustling life on the coastline, there is something for everyone, and here at Le Contadour, you can find time to relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Property would be ideally suited for the elderly but not infirm. Spacious, light, and very comfortable. Ceiling fans +a/c. Mosquito nets. Private. Romantic setting would appeal to honeymoon couples, artists, or those seeking a peaceful location to relax in. 10 min. walking distance of local village with all amenities, including excellent restaurants and 20 min. drive to Nice, the sea and beaches. It is also an ideal central location for all major resorts, such as Cannes, Monaco, Vence and St Tropez. Italy is only 50 mins. drive away.
There is a large selection of English books. and games.
The villa is a restored wing of a stone mas, (country villa) completely private and tastefully furnished, set among olive trees, figs. palms, and exotic flowers. The pool is private for your use only. You also have private terraces with garden furniture. ARRIVALS between 4.0pm and 7.0pm (If you wish to arrive later, please inform owners). DEPARTURES: 11.0am Cleaning takes place last day.

There are no added extras!

Cleaning is included on the final day. Linen changed weekly.

Baby sitting service available.

A security deposit of €300 will be required in cash on arrival. This will be returned to you on your departure subject to no damage.
On booking a 25% deposit is required either by cheque or by bank transfer.
The balance payable by bank transfer, 3 weeks prior to arrival.
