Charming village house rental in the Pyrenees-Orientales, France
This charming stone house has been recently restored to provide attractive and comfortable holiday accommodation for 2-4 people. With it's wooden floors and beamed ceilings, the house has retained it's charm. With the addition of a dish-washer and washing machine, you have all the comfort you need for a relaxing holiday!
On the first floor is the kitchen, lounge, diner which gives on to the terrace. This is spacious enough to eat outside and lounge around in the deckchairs whilst soaking up the view! The lounge area has a wood stove for the cooler months so the gite can be used all year round. On the second floor are the 2 bedrooms and spacious bathroom. One bedroom has a double bed and the other has two singles.
On the ground floor is a small private garden and a barbecue as well as another terraced seating area
From Rabouillet village there are many walks possible; in open coutryside with ancient stone terracing or in the beech and pine forest behind the village. In the department there are also many challenging peaks, the Canigou, the Carlit or the Madre, all well over 2000m. The area is also fascinating for the Chateaux Cathares, Roman Abbeys, natural gorges and of course the Mediterranean coast.
