Charming Holiday Cottage Near The Sea, Argol, Brittany, France


Retaining most of its traditional features such as its bread oven, stone walls and exposed beams, Lomergat is an old Breton longhouse which has been carefully converted. Covering a surface area of approximately 170 metres square, this lovely Finistere holiday home can comfortably sleep up to 11 people which makes it ideal for two families.


On the ground floor you will find one of the double bedrooms with a small wash basin, a large kitchen/ dining area with an old working fire place, a table tennis room with its adjoining laundry room and toilets, and the very spacious living room with a wood burning stove and a traditional bread oven.

Upstairs, you will find a large bedroom with 5 single beds with an integral shower and toilets. There is a second double bedroom with wash basin, plus a third bedroom with twin beds, a bathroom with a shower. The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, oven, microwave, pressure cooker, fridge and dishwasher. There is also plenty of cooking utensils. In the laundry room there is a second fridge with freezer along with a washing machine and a drier. There is a TV with VCR and a variety of books and games for you to enjoy. The cottage has been decorated beautifully and is full of character, as the owners friends and family regularly stay at the cottage you will find it warm, comfortable and welcoming.


There are a number of wonderful sandy beaches on the Douarnenez Bay and the Iroise sea, the closest ones are just 7km away which are the I’Aber (TaL ar Groas) and Trez Bellec (Telgruc). Just 300m away is Lomergats pebble shore. The local area has more than 500 km of paths and trails for hiking.


The main attractions, all of which are within a hours drive, include Camaret (an old habour and fishing town, ship graveyard), Quimper (Old town center and earthenware factories), Brest (Oceanoplis with a sea museum,aquariums and military harbour) and Locronan (a very well presented XV and XVI century small town).
