An attractive house in 2 hectares of large grounds set in a beautiful, peaceful spot with olive groves, mulberry-shaded areas for outdoor living and a heated saltwater pool. The property is situated on the edge of a small village (with excellent restaurant) and has fabulous views all around with Mont Ventoux to the north, Malemort and Venasque to the south.

The Accommodation:
La Roque has five bedrooms all with en suite bathrooms.The main bedroom and bathroom are accessed via their own private staircase. It has a king size double bed and floor to ceiling picture windows opening on to its own private terrace from which you can enjoy the stunning views.In the main house there are also three further bedrooms with twin beds each with its own bathroom. There is a separate gite very close to the main house which has its own bedroom, bathroom and kitchen/sitting room (with an extra sofa bed). In the main house there is a large sitting room with three sofas and a real fire. There is a separate library with television (including free view with BBC etc, DVD player etc), books and lots of games for your children. The kitchen has floor to ceiling windows overlooking the view so is beautifully light and airy. Separate utility room off the kitchen with washing machine and separate drier. La 

The English owners know the area inside out and are happy to provide excellent info. There are good walks and cycling from the door – you don’t have to tackle Mont Ventoux; food and antique markets, vineyards and Roman towns to visit. Their tasteful renovation of the house has a Provençale-meets-English country house feel, in more and less formal spaces: beamed ceilings, apparent stone walls, an open fire; Peter Jones beds, family furniture, portraits and botanical prints. And there’s a fabulous, conservatory-style, real cook’s kitchen with a painted, rustic dining table. Bathrooms are bright and modern; bedrooms simply stylish and spacious, in restful colours – one’s lofty, up steep wooden stairs. The separate master suite has its own stairway and enviable roof terrace. Kindly Hubert greets guests and tends the garden.
