The chalet operates comfortable self-catered accommodation on a weekly basis with Saturday changeovers.
May-October
Outside the ski season we offer self-catered rentals with a minimum of 4 nights.
Length of stay and arrival dates may be negotiable.
Self-catering guidelines:
A deposit of 30% of the rental is required to secure a booking. A refundable security deposit of 800€ will be taken on arrival (through credit card or eurocheque) against damage, breakages or cleaning charges. It will be returned within 2 (two) weeks of departure, less costs incurred in reparation.

Local Attractions
Situated in the Giffre Valley of Haute Savoie, Samoëns is a very attractive, village and has a variety of bars and restaurants, where you can sample local dishes. We will be more than happy to help advise you on the best places to eat and drink during your stay. There are also various shops and outlet stores that will offer all sorts of sports hire equipment. In winter, clients will receive 20% discount on hire and the option of a locker to leave gear overnight.
Set in the beautiful countryside much has been done to make this village an attractive holiday place, winter or summer, without destroying its very important historical and cultural features. As many of the qualities of a real French village still remain this is one of the only ski resorts in France to be listed as 'Monument Historique'.
Every Wednesday there is a great local market in the village which is a must during your stay. Take a day off from your other strenuous activities and relax whilst wandering around the pretty and historic village where you can visit a museum, a cheese-making factory or the Botanic Gardens.
Other summer activities on offer in the area include: walking in fantastic scenery with a wealth of wildflowers and animals, cycling, mountain biking, parapente, via ferrata, climbing, rafting, canoeing/kayaking, golf, and a large park with activities for adults and children, including tennis, archery and a swimming pool.
For skiers, Samoëns lies in the heart of The Grand Massif, a range with 265km of ski slopes with five linked ski resorts - Samoëns, Morillon, Les Carroz, Flaine and Sixt Fer à Cheval. There are some 75 ski lifts, 3 Jamparks, and runs at different levels- green, blue, red and black. If the members of your party have varying levels of skiing ability, the runs will allow you to 'do your own thing' and still meet up in one of the many restaurants for lunch. In fact, all you need for a wonderful ski or snowboard holiday!
The ski chalet is positioned between the two main ski lifts out of the village. The Grand Massif Express Télécabine, giving direct access to Samoëns 1600, is just 800 metres down hill from the ski chalet. Alternatively, the newly rebuilt (2020) Vercland Télécabine (also 800m from the chalet) will deliver you to Samoëns 1600 just by the ski hire shop and ski schools. Both lifts can be reached by a free ski bus which stops within easy walking distance (50m) from Chalet Marie Stuart.
