Stunning property with Pool, Games Room and Summer House in Migron, Cognac, France - Maison Cerisier Reviews

Ian and Amanda have thought of and provided everything to enjoy a relaxing and selfcatering holiday. We holiday a lot and self cater often and this is joint first with another we regularly stay at. They and their two sons are a lovely caring family and very accomodation. We had a fantastic relaxing first two weeks here and enjoyed it so much we are booked for next year. Thank you Ian, Amanda, Chris and Kalin.

This is an absolutely stunning property in a beautiful and peaceful location. (The welcome pack on arrival was the best we have ever had. Thank you.) The property is of the highest standard. We have been to the area a number of times before, and although there is so much to do and see, this time we spent virtually the entire week at the property enjoying the tranquility, the amazing swimming pool and the pool table and table tennis in the games room. We also enjoyed lots of bike rides through the endless vineyards in every direction from the property.

We stayed for seven days in May 2016 in Maison Cerisier and found it to be excellent and very clean and comfortable with a view over the pool and well kept garden .We will definitely revisit in the not to distant future .

We had a lovely time in this property, there is everything you need for a excellent holiday, the pool and the summer house are lovely, our little girl loved the play house and all the toys in the house, we enjoyed the pool table and table football in the games room. We had some great trips out to nearby Cognac, la Rochelle with a fantastic aquarium and enjoyed cycling around the local area including woodland tracks with horses, donkeys & goats on route! So lovely we are looking to come back with friends.

This is a beautiful cottage with facilities of the highest standard! I spent a week here with my family and had a thoroughly relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The accommodation is beautifully maintained, is equipped with everything you need inside and out including, a pool,bikes, toys, wendyhouse and a stream!! The owners are delightful and very knowledgable about the area, places to visit, eateries etc. The property is exactly as described and I can thoroughly recommend this as the ideal spot for a great holiday in perfect surroundings.

The property was exactly as described, if anything the description failed to do it justice. Spotlessly clean,beautifully appointed, and maintained to the highest of standards to provide everything anybody could need for a perfect stay. Nothing was too much trouble for Amanda and Ian, who are the perfect hosts. Available and helpful when needed, but never intrusive. I will happily recommend Maison Cerisier to anyone looking for a base for a wonderful holiday in this beautiful part of France. The location has something for everyone. Within easy reach of the coast and all it offers, and close to many other fascinating attractions (both historical and natural). We particularly enjoyed the many chateaux, and found the flora and fauna a constant source of pleasure. The peace and tranquillity of the local countryside is a joy. The proximity of beautiful cities like Cognac and Saintes with their cultural and gastronomic delights is a bonus. A visit to a Cognac house is a must, and a wander around Saintes on a Saturday market day would be another recommendation.

Just about the perfect holiday location!

A truly wonderful escape from the hustle and bustle of busy family life. A converted barn to the highest standards. Very quiet, with an inviting pool to cool off in the afternoon sun. A well resourced games room for our children aged 7, 10 and 14 to relax in, with a large amount of independence.

Would recommend this property to any family who wants to escape to a secluded part of France to relax, relax and relax. Only 20 minutes drive for evening entertainment etc if you wish or 50 minutes to the beaches on the west coast. Must finish with huge compliments to the English speaking family who own the property, can't do enough to make you feel welcome.

We stayed at Maison Cerisier for a week in July. Ian and Amanda were instantly welcoming, the gite was well equipped and spotlessly clean and the location beautiful. Best of all, the kids made instant friends with Ian and Amanda's son, Caden and we had a week of relaxing with happy kids playing in the pool or in the games room. No 'I'm bored' and no squabbling. Ian and Amanda have a wealth of knowledge about what to do in the local area - from where to get your groceries to great days out with the family. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Maison Cerisier to our friends (in fact, we have) and would love to go back again. The area itself is beautiful and you can explore the city of Cognac, travel slightly further afield to the beach or visit small local villages and try out local produce. Lots to do but to be honest, the gite and the pool were so lovely, we spent lots of time relaxing, reading books and playing with the children. We left a relaxed and happy family - and only wished we could have stayed for longer.

We have being visiting France for over 30 years, staying in different types of accommodation over that time. Maison Cerisier is one of, if not the best property we have enjoyed. It ticks all the boxes. Fantastic accommodation, great location, excellent facilities and wonderfully equipped. The icing on the cake is Ian and Amanda, the owners. They are always on hand with help and advice. Nothing is too much trouble. Yet they are far enough away to let you have the privacy and tranquility this property offers.

Situated just outside the hamlet of Migron the property is an ideal base from which to explore the region. Cognac is only 15 mnutes away. Bordeaux is a short trip down the motorway. The coast is 30 minutes away with miles of excellent beaches to explore.

As you will probaly gather we love this property and this region. If you are considering staying here, stop delaying the decision. You will not regret a holiday here

Wonderful peaceful location, lovely surroundings. Cottage had everything we needed including DVDs for the evening, spare books, baby facilities, welcome pack of food to start the holiday. It was a fab relaxing stay with potential for a few day trips. Lovely cycle rides to get pastries and bread in the morning!
