Self Catering Normandy Holiday Gite to Rent with Private Pool, Alencon, France / On the outskirts of Alençon, Lower Normandy, France


La Guépinière (our gîte) is situated in the hamlet of Condé sur Sarthe and ideally placed for access to the historic town of Alençon while surrounded by countryside. La Guépinière dates to the 15th century and was once a hunting lodge serving the local gentry at the nearby châteaux. This charming, well equipped holiday gîte, is set in 2.5 acres of lovely grounds with a heated swimming pool and private guests garden overlooking countryside, it is a great retreat for adults and children.


The gîte is spacious and provides an exceptionally high standard of accommodation, beautiful features of the gîte include granite stone and amazing exposed beams. La Guépinière is well equipped, the spacious kitchen has a microwave oven, gas & electric hob, electric oven, dishwasher and fridge/freezer. The charming lounge/dining room benefits from satellite TV (English & French), dvd player.
Upstairs you will find three bedrooms which can comfortably sleep up to 7 people, there are two luxury bathrooms one of which is en-suite. A cot is available on request.


Outside guests can enjoy our beautiful courtyard garden with ample garden furniture, perfect for relaxing in the sun. Walk through the main barn and you arrive in another completely private garden which is surrounded by fields. Here you have a lovely circular heated swimming pool - the pool is above ground thus making your stay with young children even less stressful as they can run round to their hearts content with no fear of danger of falling into the pool. We have no immediate neighbours so the children can be children and make as much noise as they like!
Your children are totally secure whilst on site as are your cars as the property can only be accessed via permanently locked automatic gates.

Our local baker is a 5 minute stroll through the lanes, Carrefour, a large supermarket is a mile from the property and there are at least 6 restaurants within a mile or just over. These range from McDonalds to Chinese to French and Italian so lots to chose from - further afield in Alençon there are even more restaurants, I say further afield but in actual fact Alençon is only around 3 miles away!


The surrounding area is forestry, which offers some great walks and mountain bike tracks, there are some beautiful views. Horse riding is also available locally. The local village, Condé sur Sarthe, also boasts a swimming pool complex comprising of three pools and a water slide.


The Normandy Landing Beaches, Mont St Michel, Le Mans, the beautiful Loire Valley châteaux are also within a reasonable drive making us a very central area for exploring the region.
Paris lays to the east and can be accessed either by standard train, TGV or car.
