Q: How long does it take for my advert to become "live" on the site ?

Your advert(s) is made "live" on the site as soon as you activated it via our Secure Payment Gateway (Credit Card OR Paypal) or we have received a cheque from you. You will receive a confirmation of your order by email and we will also send you an e-invoice for your records.

Alternatively, if you would like us to set you up your property listing(s) instead, then we will complete it within 24-48 hours. As soon as the listing is activated (as described above) - You can begin to receive enquiries/bookings DIRECTLY.

Q: I`m very busy; could you set up my advert for me ?

Yes, we can. And unlike almost all our competitors, we do not charge extra for this service! Book your property advert on Rent-in-France today and our sales staff will do all the hard work for you! Q: If you set up my Property Advert, what happens next ?

Our experienced web design team can lift the necessary information and photos from your own website and/or an existing advert you may have on another site - so you don`t have to send us new copy and photos. Just tell us your requirements!

When we've finished creating your advert, we will email you your Property Owner`s account login, so that you can amend your advert as much as you like - Change Photos, add Special Deals, upload Reviews, update your Availability Calendar or amend your Rental Rates Table.

But remember, we are always here to make any INSTANT CHANGES for you as well - at no added cost!!

Q: What can I do to make my Advert as effective as possible ?

If you have requested a member of the Rent-in-France team to help set up your advert for you, then we will aim to get as much information on the listing as we can, and to make this information as accurate as possible. Thereafter, we strongly advise that you check what we have done carefully and amend /add any necessary information by logging into your user account.

Alternatively, email/call us with your requirements and we can amend anything for you - We really couldn't make it any simpler for our customers!!

The sales staff at Rent-in-France care about how well your advert performs so we do our utmost to ensure all adverts will achieve as many enquiries/bookings as possible. It is no coincidence that the more information that an owner provides, the greater level of enquiries they receive!
 

Here is a small checklist to help:

1) Are the Photos of high quality, and size?
Undoubtedly the most important part of your listing page. You are able to upload 22 images for on each listing. We recommend high-res, large photos – a size of approximately 1000-1200 pixels in width. Try to upload good quality images that best reflect the main features of your holiday home.

2) Have you included enough Property Description / Facility Information?
Should provide an in-depth overview of what facilities the property has, whom the accommodation best suits and the type of holiday that potential visitors can expect. Plus any other relevant information you may think necessary to mention.

3) Is your Availability Calendar up-to-date?
We strongly recommend you keep your Availability Calendar updated regularly. It is very simple to make instant changes to your calendar dates. One of our new features is that you can import your own 'ical' link to allow instant updates without accessing your USER account.

4) Are the Current Rental Rates showing?
You can display your different weekly / daily rates throughout the whole year. Make use of our detailed rental rates table to show the rates for each season of the rental year. This will also save you time dealing with unnecessary enquiries regarding rental prices.

5) Are you displaying some Positive Reviews?

6) Are you displaying the correct 'Booking Conditions'?

7) Are there any 'Special Offers' that you wish to include?

8) Have you included information about the Local Area?

Try and provide details about the local area, amenities and what there is worth visiting. Mention what popular activities are on offer and where to go to experience them. Think carefully about what will attract holidaymakers to your property.

We allow owners to upload information and photos that they have used with other advertising companies, or from their own website - However, we strongly recommend using original content for the property description. If the advert content has been exactly 100% copied from another source, this will affect your advert's Search Engine ranking. Unique material scores higher with Google and the other major search engines!

 

Q: Can I advertise more than one property in the same advert ?

Yes, but only if they are in the same location. However, Rent-in-France adverts are much more suited to one property per advert listing. There is only one availability calendar per advert and the general information regarding bedrooms/bathrooms/dining chairs, etc, can only reference a single property.

But, the great thing about advertising with Rent-in-France is that the rate for additional full page listings for a second or subsequent advert is greatly reduced - in fact, a massive 60% discount! For example, if an owner has 4 separate full page listings, the cost of advertising will not be much higher, but he/she will receive four times more exposure to help generate bookings! A holidaymaker searching your listings will also be able to see if you have any other listings on Rent-in-France and can automatically click the link(s) to other adverts you may have!

Q: How do I pay for my advert ?

The quickest and easiest way to pay for your advert is online via our Secure Payment Gateway (Via Credit Card or PayPal) - We accept most debit and credit cards, including VISA, MASTERCARD, SWITCH, SOLO, and ELECTRON. After a payment has been made, a confirmation of the order and an e-invoice are sent to your email address. We do not store your payment details on our website.

Q: Do I have to pay VAT on my Rent-in-France property advert ?

If you are registered for VAT in an EU country, you can avoid paying UK VAT (20%) by providing your VAT registration number (SIRET Number) when paying for your advert. Residents outside of the EU do not pay VAT.

Q: Can I have a hyperlink to my own website from my Rent-in-France advert ?

Unlike some of our competitors, we do not charge extra for a link back to your own website - It is a standard feature of the Rent-in-France listing package. In addition, we actually reward owners who have a reciprocal link back to their Rent-in-France advert from their own website. This helps both the Rent-in-France site and the response to your property advert. The reward for creating a link on your website back to your Rent-in-France advert is 2 extra months - FREE!

Q: Can I make changes to my advert once it`s been activated ?

Yes. Every advertiser on Rent-in-France will have their own individual User account, which they can access at any time of the day to amend their advert(s) - whether it be to add or change photos, change descriptions, amend rental rates, update the availability calendar, etc.

Q: Can I see visitor traffic statistics for my Advert ?

An owner can see how many visitors have visited their page by looking at the hits history when logged into their property account. If you have an active website link you can also see how many visitors have clicked through to your own personal website.
