Perched on a rocky peak 100m from the Jabron stream, Le Hameau des Liesses was built in 1739. Despite its' location giving it the air of a fortress nestled on the cliff, it is with surprise that one discovers its southern slope looking out onto the beautiful valley and surroundings, not to mention the Provence sunshine.
In the middle of the courtyard a fountain rocks the tranquility of dry stone buildings. Away from the roads, calm is assured because the fields, lavender, fruit trees and sheep are our only neighbors.
Le Hameau des Liesses is located at the crossroads of Vaucluse, Drôme Provençale and the Alpes de Haute Provence. It is the ideal place to discover the beautiful region to go hiking or simply bask in the shade of weeping willows with as a backdrop the Mountain Lure so dear to Jean Giono.
