LA GRANGE is situated in the hamlet of Les Rivieres. The old stone built Vendeenne barn has been transformed into a splendid country house sleeping 10 people plus babies. It is ideal for two or more families sharing or great for a family gathering. The house faces South and looks over water meadows and woods. The grounds extend to approximately 5 acres and border the Graon river. The South facing patio leads onto the 5m by 10m swimming pool with garden furniture and barbecue.The pool is fenced from the rest of the garden.
Ground floor : Entrance hall (7sqm). Large well equipped open plan kitchen (18sqm) and dining room (17sqm) linked to sitting room (38sqm) by double sided fireplace. Double bedroom (15sqm) with en-suite shower room. Twin bedroom (10.5 sqm). Toilet. Games room with a table tennis table (40sqm). Wash room.

Champ Saint Père is a small rural community of 1700 inhabitants . It offers a bakery, a newsagent, a post-office, a pharmacy, and a bar . It is surrounded by well organised foot paths and cycle tracks that take you through some delightful shady wooland.
In Champ Saint Père there is an average size supermarket : Carrefour Contact.
We suggest you shop there as it is near and we find everything we need on a daily basis. Local products are on offer. The meat counter is varied and very fresh. Fresh bread can be purchased, particularly on Tuesdays when the bakery is closed. On the car park, Tuesday mornings a van sells sea food and fresh fish. On Saturday mornings it’s the turn of the oyster man. Thursday mornings, by the church you will find a market of local produce.

This is great fun, particularly if you enjoy a challenge and have too much energy.
They have made 6 circuits in the forest, for differing abilities, which require you to climb, Swing, grapple, rope slide etc from tree to tree- very exhilarating- There are also games for little ones, a paint ball section, pony rides and a splendid forest for walking.

PUY DU FOU:
About an hour's drive from Champ st Pere.
This is one of the biggest theme parks in France . It is a passage through time with some very impressive demonstrations of Chariot Racing, Gladiators, Jousting, Falconry and Viking Battles. There is a reconstruction of a medieval and 18 th century village and an exhibition of the Vendéen Revolution. Entertainment is provided for all age groups.
In the evening there is a very extravagant Cinéscenie, with more than 1000 actors and lots of special effects. It is only on Friday and Saturday and reservation need to be made early in the year to be sure to have a place. We can help if you are interested.
FARM ANIMALS (Avrillé 8 km):
In 10 hectares of unspoilt ground, you will find a multitude of farm animals. From chicks to cart horses, all animals are in their natural habitats and live there all year around. In July and August, as well as looking at the animals, the park offers a walk through the woods with games entitled « Wild animal and nature » for young people or the not so young.
Special Rental Conditions
When we have received the contracts and the deposit, we will return the contract, signed by us, to you as confirmation of the booking.
The balance will be due six weeks before you are due to arrive.
A damage/cleaning deposit of £250 or 300 € cash is requested on arrival
