House in Prades Town Centre, Pyrenees-Orientales, Languedoc

Maison l'Oranger is a charming old town house is located in the centre of Prades, just off the main church square, and is extremely convenient for all amenities. Situated in this sunny area of France (Roussillon), not far from Perpignan and the Spanish border, it has a shady courtyard, large sun terrace and parking. Although recently renovated and well equipped, it still retains much of its charm and character.

It has 3 bedrooms that can comfortably accommodate 6 people - there is an additional sofa bed and a fold-away bed that can sleep extra guests. Prades is a small market town, 45km west of Perpignan, tucked in a wide sunny valley in the foothills of the Mediterranan Pyrenees and close to Mont Canigou.

Accommodation:
The property boasts fine views of Canigou and the surrounding mountains from the upper windows and terrace. 

Space for a small car in the garage or there is off- road parking in front of it.

Above the lounge is a large sun terrace 30m2 and below is a walk-in cellar with table tennis.

The kitchen/dining area is on the 1st floor.

The second floor has a double bedroom, bathroom with W.C and separate W.C.

On the 3rd Floor are 2 bedrooms and, on the ground floor, another W.C with shower. Heating is by 2 woodburning stoves as well as electric radiators in each room.

A cot and high chair are available but the house may not be ideally suited for young children or those who have a problem with stairs.

Prades is home to a picturesque Romanesque church and is host to a bustling weekly market selling local produce. The area has magnificent and varied scenery and is second to none for walking, with many well marked routes.

Other local activities include; swimming, riding, mountain biking, climbing, fishing, bird watching, canyoning and white-water rafting. Open-air swimming pool close-by.

The Mediterranean beaches are 30 -45 min drive and ski stations are a similar sistance in the opposite direction.

Prades is well served by bus and train services and all journeys within the Pyrenées Orientales cost only 1 euro.

The house is available all year round for holiday lets of 5 days to 4 weeks and dates are completely flexible.
