Special Rental Conditions
The hiring of the Villa is arranged via the management company who run the complex and are based on-site between Easter and October to look after you. We will deal with your initial enquiry ourselves, answer any questions you may have and liaise with the management company to confirm availability and organise the booking.

All payments (deposits, balance etc) are made to the management company offering you the security and protection of dealing with a company operating and registered locally in France.

A number of services are available on-site including the hire of bedding / towels and cleaning of the villa during or at the end of your stay. You will be expected to leave the Villa clean and we would therefore recommend that you book the cleaning service.

Once you have checked availability & price on the calendar, please use the link or the address below to let us know about your interest in the property and the dates you require as we are able to provisionally hold dates for you for a short period while you confirm the booking and organise payment.

The weekly hire charge is payable in Euros and currently ranges from around €700 off-peak to €2,000 for the peak summer weeks. Electricity and water consumption is metered on arrival and departure and charged for separately.

There is also a small local tax (tax de sejoure) which is calculated at 0.55
Euro per adult per day, which equates to 3.85 Euros per week and is
collected by the management company.

Local Attractions
The village of Coex lies 2Km away and can be reached via a footpath / cycleway directly from the complex. It is a typical attractive French village with all the expected amenities including a couple of Cafe's in the main square, a nice Auberge and the Jardin des Olfacties (garden of scents).

The Leisure Lakes of Lac Gue Gourand, Lac D'Apremont and Lac de Jaunay for cycling, boating, fishing and swimming are all within 10 minutes drive from the house. Apremont also has an attractive historic chateau which can be explored with an entrance ticket that also gains you access to the local water tower to check out the panoramic view. For great family outings try Vendee Minature at Bretignolles Sur Mer or the Velo rail (prior booking is essential due to its popularity) which runs along a 10Km dis-used stretch of railway track from Commequiers to Coex, 2 people peddle while 2 more relax on the deck chairs.

St Gilles Croix de Vie is the local fishing port about 10 minutes drive away. It is an attractive town with a large beach, quayside restaurants, pedestrianised shopping street, nightly craft markets and a childrens funfair during the season.

St Jean de Monts is a lively resort town with a large attractive promenade and beach front about 25 minutes away. The main streets leading away from the beach positively buzz with nightlife in the summers evenings with bars, shops and family funfairs.

Les Sables D'Olonne lies about 30 minutes south with its grand promenade, excellent beach, port-side restaurants and attractive pedestrianised shopping areas

La Rochelle, Ile de Noirmoutier and Nantes are all accessible in just over an hour by car.

Of the many beaches in the area our favourites are probably La Grand Plage at Les Sables D'Olonne and Notre Dame de Monts, which lies just to the North of St.Jean, for it's combination of a usually quieter beach, attractive village setting and good restaurants.

Nearby Family attractions include the Zoos at Les Sables D'Olonne and Planet Sauvage towards Nantes and the acclaimed medieval theme park of Puy du Fou is just over an hour away. Puy du Fou offers a great family day out with a number of excellent live shows involving Knights, Gladiators and Vikings and a particularly enjoyable birds of prey display. On weekend evenings (mid June - mid September), Puy du Fou hosts the spectacular Cinescenie, claimed to be the worlds biggest nightime show. It involves 1,200 actors playing out the story and history of the Vendee in front of thousands of spectators. We would recommend buying the relatively inexpensive headsets which provide English translation. Cinescenie is very popular with all shows sold out well in advance so please book your tickets a few months before you go to be sure of a place. For more grown up pleasures, visits to chateaus and wine tasting is available in either the Muscadet growing area just to the South East of Nantes or more locally with the Fiefs Vendee producers based around Bretignolles Sur Mer.

Finally, Cyclists are fantastically well catered for with many designated and purpose built Cycling Routes or 'pistes cyclable' in the local area, many of them winding through farmers fields well away from the traffic. It is possible to cycle down the whole vendee coastline and from Domaine des Fontenelles to St.Gilles to the west and inland all the way to La Roche sur Yon.
