Part of a beautiful17th century Chateau, the cottage is situated at the end of a pretty private driveway in the tranquil countryside with fantastic views down the valley. The cottage enjoys peaceful surroundings, yet is just a short 3km from the town of St Martin des Besaces. The property is in the ideal spot for a relaxing French holiday.

You will enter the cottage by a central door from the courtyard, please note that it is wide enough to accommodate a wheelchair. Straight ahead you will find the staircase and to the right you will make your way through the door into the large open plan living room / dining room. There is a large wood burning stove which is grand when lit. The open plan living area is spacious and comfortable, there is a TV & DVD player (bring your own favorite CD's and DVD's), there are books and games for your use, plus two large seater sofas. In the dining area you will find a large table with seats for up to 12 people . The wood burning stove ensures you can keep the cottage warm and cozy on colder days. Next to the fireplace is a door that leads to the rear garden, you will find all the usual garden furniture, plenty of shaded areas underneath the trees and a BBQ for you to enjoy during your stay.

Although it is small, the kitchen layout is very compact with all your normal appliances present including gas/electric cooker, extractor, large combined fridge/freezer, dishwasher, separate microwave oven and kitchen sink.

The downstairs bedroom is located to the left where you will also find a large shower / wet room situated just before, the wet room is fully fitted for disabled guests. Please note both the corridors throughout the cottage and the doorways all meet the requirements for wheel chair or disabled access.

The sleeping areas are separated from the living area by the stairway which leads up to the 4 bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom has a four poster bed and an ensuite shower room with hand basin and toilet, the larger bedroom at the other end of the corridor has a double bed and a single and 2 of the other bedrooms have adult size bunk beds All of the bedrooms have easy access to a family bathroom with bath and shower over, wash hand basin and toilet. There are 2 cots and 2 additional fold up single beds available if required.

Outside, you will find the large garden with a wooden decking and large lawn there is also a patio with table, chairs and a barbecue. For the children there is also a swing and a sand box. A communal pool is also available for you to use during your stay.

The cottage is located 45kms from Caen and just 40 minutes by car to the historical Dday beaches. Other activities close by include mini golf, wildlife viewing, kayaking, rock climbing, and shopping.
