This pretty stone cottage is situated in a rural position on a quiet lane. It is 2 miles from the small town of Melrand, where you will find an excellent Boulangerie, 2 restaurants and several bars. On the outskirts of the town is a large lake that is safe to swim in, a playground, paddling pool and boat/pedalo hire. There is an Archaeological Farm to explore just down the lane and, during the Summer, several music and dance festivals are held in the town including the religious Pardons. The Pardon at Ste Price is held on the third Sunday of July.
The nearest supermarket is in Bubry just 3 miles away. The market town of Baud with 2 supermarkets, many shops, a swimming pool and good restaurants is a 15 minute drive. Pontivy, a large old town with a chateau and the river Blavet running through it is 20 minutes away. It has many shops, large supermarkets, 2 swimming pools and a market day. The coast is 35 minutes drive and the towns of Vannes, Auray and Carnac are within easy reach for a good day out.
Ground floor - A well equipped kitchen area with gas cooker, microwave, fridge with freezer compartment, kettle and toaster. A lounge/dining room with a table and chairs, armchairs, sofa bed, radio/CD player and a TV with French channels and a DVD. A shower room with handbasin, convector heater and toilet
First floor - A double bedroom. A single bedroom. A single bedroom. Duvets and English pillows are provided. A travel cot is provided and highchair can be hired. Babysitting service if required.
Gas central heating for Winter bookings.A washing machine is situated in our garage for your use.
The garden has a large, lawned garden with garden furniture, barbecue, swings and a slide. Parking.
Roscoff and St Malo are 90 miles drive. Caen is 3 hours and Cherbourg 4 hours away. Calais is approx. 7 hours drive.
The Booking Form (which can be downloaded from our website) should be accompanied by your deposit for one third of the total cost of the holiday. This can be in sterling or a euro cheque. However, if the euro cheque is drawn on a UK bank please add £12 to cover bank fees. A bankers draft in euros incurs no fees.
Cheques should be made payable to Mrs A Pace and sent to the same address as the Booking Form.
Payment in full must be sent at least 6 weeks before the arrival date or, in the case of late bookings, with the Booking Form.
We also require a separate cheque for £150 (except for Ref 1/sp and 2/sp which is £50) as a security deposit, which will be banked then refunded 2 weeks after the departure date. If the gite is left clean and there are no breakages it will be refunded in full.
All breakages must be paid for or replaced by the visitors. Any excess electricity charge will be deducted from this cheque if applicable.
If you require a cleaning service this can be arranged if you inform us before your departure or at the time of booking. The cost will be £25, please specify on the booking form if you require this service.
Bed linen, sheets, towels and tea towels are NOT provided and can be hired for £15 per set.
The gite is ready for occupation after 4 P.M. on the arrival day and must be vacated by 10 A.M. on the day of your departure.

The Morbihan area is noted for its outstanding beauty, where almost one third of Brittanys coastline is to be found. Gorgeous sandy beaches and rocky coves abound, which are never overcrowded even in the Summer. The roads are unbelievably quiet even in the Peak season, which makes travelling around very easy. Parking is usually free.
There are many towns to be visited including Auray, a mediaeval town with an old port at St Goustan and superb restaurants. Pontivy and Josselin are famous for their chateaux, Vannes an old market town and port has a magnificent cathedral and lots of interesting shops and 2 markets a week. Lorient is a new town with a variety of shops, cinemas, restaurants and is host to the big Interceltic Music Festival at the beginning of August every year. Carnac, famous for its standing stones, has a marvellous sandy beach with games for the kids and an abundance of good seafood restaurants and creperies. The Gulf of Morbihan, with 365 islands, can only be described as beautiful and you can take a boat trip around them should you so desire.
For those of you who enjoy sport there are 7 golf courses in the area, fishing in any of the many rivers and lakes, boat hire on the lakes and rivers, horse riding, surf boarding, wind surfing, swimming or cycling. Bike hire is widely available especially on the coast. Most of the larger towns have a swimming pool.
Every town and village has a lovely church and, during the Summer months, you can usually find a ‘Pardon’ or village fete going on. You are always welcome to join in. Contact Owner
