Laurier is a renovated Charentaise style family house, set on the edge of the village of Villefollet, in Deux Sèvres. This child friendly holiday home provides comfortable accommodation for 8.

For couples looking for a quiet relaxing holiday, try our one bedroom apartment near the village of La Villedieu. Surrounded by fields and the nearby forests of Chize and Aulnay. Here you can walk, cycle or just relax in the peace and quiet of the countryside.

The house:
On the ground floor is the sitting room with wood burning stove and beams with windows overlooking the garden. The dining room adjoins with seating for 8 and a further door onto the garden.

A double bedroom with ample wardrobes for storage is on this floor. A shower room with two basins and separate toilet are nearby. The new kitchen has a gas cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, microwave and fridge. Upstairs there is a double bedroom and two twin bedded rooms. A baby's cot is also available. A new bathroom and shower has just been installed.

A door leads out of the large kitchen onto a gravelled area. A pergola with table and chairs provides a shaded area for dining, or enjoying an aperitif. The local Pineau de Charente served chilled is well worth trying. A BBQ is also provided.
The garden is totally enclosed so making it very safe for children. They can kick a ball, play on the swings or take a dip in the 12' splash pool.

The apartment (SEE REF 3004) :
The apartment is attached to the owners house just outside the small village of La Villedieu. There is a double bedroom with views on two sides of the beautiful countryside

The large lounge / dining room has a sofa bed which sleeps two, and two armchairs. There is a balcony overlooking the garden, where you can eat, drink or just look at the stars.

The spacious kitchen is well equipped with cooker, fridge, washing machine and microwave. It has a large window overlooking the fields, where you might spot some of the local wildlife. Visitors have seen wild boar, deer and many birds including partridge and pheasant in the field and woods beyond.
