Domaine de Cournet-Haut, set in the picturesque Dordogne Valley, is a 17th century lodge set on 13 acres of beautiful lush gardens and bright mature forest. The domain was charmingly restored over 30 years ago by Hélène and Emmanuel Pichon-Varin into a self-catering holiday residence, consisting of 3 traditional stone houses and 6 woodland chalets.
Le Charme (The Beech Tree) is nestled at the half-way point within the mature forest. It offers privacy yet is also very close to the pool. If it is peace you are after, Le Charme is for you. This charming chalet accommodates 4 people with one double bedroom, one bunk bedroom and separate bathroom and toilet. Its open plan living area and kitchenette (equipped with a two ring hob, multifunction oven/microwave, dishwasher and all the necessary kitchenware) open onto a large partly covered terrace with barbecuing facilities. The terrace enjoys a cool favourable temperature in the summer thanks to the surrounding trees. It’s the perfect spot to enjoy a chilled drink in the stretching summer evenings. Electric heating is installed throughout, there is also a TV with DVD player (Free DVD library arriving shortly).
