A huge thank you to Charles and Natalie for their lovely holiday gite. We have had a wonderful time here. The gite had everything and more – it has made returning home everyday a pleasure.

The weather has been kind to us and only one wet day (Avatar!). We went to Quimpere and Concarneu both very pretty and interesting (1 hour 30 mins) towns.

We found a good beach at St Nic towards the Crozan peninsular. Always quiet until 3 pm – then the French arrived!

We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this charming place to friends or return in the future.

The weather was not too kind during our first week but has not prevented us from enjoying the delight of Brittany. Its beautiful countryside and coastline and medieval towns with fabulous buildings. The camera has been well used and even managed to do some sketching and the dog has had a daily swim!

We have covered many miles both in the car and on foot, doing several walks around Crozon, Huelgoat, Morlaix, Carnac, Quimperle and Chateauneuf-au-Faou, enhanced by the weather being good for the last 3 days.

Great to come back to this lovely cottage at the end of each day and relax in comfortable, homely surroundings. Our only disappointment was the internet connection not working, which was one of the attractions of the cottage. We hope this can be resolved as we would very much like to come again!

Big thanks to Charles and Natalie for the use of their lovely cottage this week. After a few changeable days at the start of the week we’ve had 5 days of sunshine, perfect for exploring the area. We also particularly enjoyed the Crozan peninsula, beautiful beaches (Cameret-sur-Mer – very relaxing stop for a beer) and great views from Pointe de Per-Lier. Locranan charming place to visit, Quimpere lovely city and enhjoyed the Ville Close at Concarneau. Struggled a bit with French, opening times (we found the Cote de Mer restaurant a find when everywhere was closed!) and failed miserably to find the Merlin restaurant but did enjoy the sunshine and scenery at Lac de Guerdelan instead.

Cottage beautiful and tranquil, perfect for star gazing (even saw a shooting star!). Have thoroughly enjyhed our week. Thanks again.

Had a lovely week here at the cottage with the last few days providing glorious sunshine.

Lovely little cottage in a peaceful location with everything you need to make it home from home. Morlaix is well worth a visit as is Dinan. Just be aware of market days on Thursday – spent a lot of time in traffic.

Would love to have stayed another week as only just got into the swing of things but hopefully we can come back for another time.

Lovely cottage, lovely location – “deafened” by the lovely silence.

Accommodation and all accoutrements in the cottage of an excellent standard. Spoilt for choice where to visit north or south – so many places easily accessible.

Thoroughly enjoyed walks along several parts of the Nantes – Brest canal – indeed we enjoyed the whole week.

Wonderful cottage – peaceful and quiet. Rained a for but it had no effect on the enjoyment. Bed comfortable. Went to parts of Brittany we had not seen before. A downside for future visitors with pets - the vets at Carhaix has to be the most expensive ever visited !! EUR 45 for a worming table and passport stamp. Our travelling was severely extended by a strike by Brittany Ferries. Instead of a one and a half hour drive to Roscoff we had to go via Calais – twice – and we live in Devon. Still we would definitely come again. Shame it was only a week.
