Welcome to the Pretty Brittany Cottage, our beautiful little cottage in Kermarc, situated in the heart of rural Brittany.
The cottage is situated on the edge of a traditional village, Trebrivan, and ten minutes by car from the market town of Carhaix with many shops, bars and restaurants.
The cottage, which provides spacious dwelling for two and further sleeping for two on a sofabed, makes a peaceful and cosy hideaway or ideal base for exploring the region’s countryside and coastlines. It has every comfort and modern convenience – Freeview TV, DVD/iPod player, BBQ, etc., but still retains the rustic charm of the original cottage built around the turn of the 19th century in the grounds of an ancient castle.
The Cottage:
The stone cottage has recently been renovated to a high standard and has a patio area and large garden. Located at the end of a small lane, the house faces onto open fields at the front and is totally un-overlooked. Pets are welcome.
The house is completely equipped and will be clean and ready for your stay on your arrival.

Nearby is the Nantes/Brest canal, a historic waterway meandering through the Breton countryside and perfect for walking and cycling. The Black hills criss-crossed with footpaths are close by and just beyond, the moorland area of Monts d'Arée. The north, west and south coasts are within an easy one hour’s drive.

Brennilis is a village west of Huelgoat, at the foot of Mont St Michel, in the Monts d'Arrée. The Monts d'Arrée nature reserve centre at Brennilis has beaver and badger exhibitions. The countryside features hills, moorlands, peat bog with carnivorous plants and unusual grasses, river valleys, and the Lac de Saint Michel.
Chateaulin
The bustling town of Chateaulin is a lovely town to visit with its bars and restaurants and the river running through the middle of the town. It is also the main area for salmon fishing.
Morlaix market
Fantastic, large Saturday morning market where you can buy fresh fish, delicious cheese and vegetables or just enjoy a coffee at a pavement café, watching the world go by!
