The instructions on how to find this lovely villa ..

The instructions on how to find this lovely villa were perfect and we recognised it immediately from the pictures. Steve and Rita have worked hard to create a very welcoming, clean and tidy holiday home. Great attention to detail had been taken by them leaving us a very generous welcome pack, including wine, tea, coffee just to mention the drinks in the pack! The property is well appointed with lots of extras, especially in the kitchen, which you don't usually find in holiday homes. Everything was as it said in the advert and we immediately felt at home. Cozes is an ideal location for visiting many towns, chateaux and delightful beaches and seaside resorts, many of which are included in France's loveliest villages.

Charming, quiet and rustic, well equipped and conveniently located villa.

We stayed at the villa for 2 weeks in early September 2016 when the weather was fantastic. The sheltered pergola area, enabled us to eat outside every day.

It was nice to be able to watch the English news (via the Sky box) and the wifi was both fast and reliable.

The house is within a day's drive of Calais and the village provides most local needs. It includes a large supermarket and petrol station. There is also a market and chemist.

Excellent restaurants can be found a short drive away, and there is a good Vietnamese restaurant in the village itself (which is a 15 minute walk away) but there is ample parking too.

We discovered a lovely little beach outside Meschers - Suzac Plage and had a delightful day at Ile d'Oléron as well as the archaeological site at Fa. The local winery en route to Cozes village is also worth a visit.

This rustic villa, amongst the vines, pines and beaches twixt the sea and Bordeaux, is a perfect spot for peace and quiet, allowing for days to be spent in the garden reading or playing games (plenty of garden games provided) or venturing forth depending how energetic you are!

Steve & Rita were extremely helpful in answering any questions we had both before and during our stay.

In short, we can thoroughly recommend this villa for both families or couples if you want to be 'cozy' in Cozes

This house has everything that you could need for ..

This house has everything that you could need for a comfortable and quiet stay in the Cozes and Saint Georges de Didonne region. With plenty of private parking at the front and a vast garden at the back. Outdoor seating including reclining chairs and a multitude of children's games and some beach accessories are provided in outdoor storage units. We had breakfast outside every morning at the table (that can seat 6) and out the front by the BBQ in the evening. The owners (very nice) kindly provided some provisions upon our arrival including milk, coffee, Jam and a nice bottle of wine in the fridge.

The house is nicely laid out and very clean. There are three bedrooms, two of which have double beds and the other has two singles; plenty of storage in each. The lounge has ample seating and a large TV with DVD player and Satellite TV, although we spent the evenings outside drinking wine! The house has WIFI which was a blessing since my mobile data was really slow. Being a French house all the windows have outside shutters which is nice because it keeps the house cool and keeps the morning sun out as well. The kitchen has everything you can think of and certainly everything that you have at home. There is a bathroom with toilet and a separate shower room with toilet. If you need to wash anything there is also a washing machine and, a bonus for me, a dishwasher!

The neighbours were very quiet; we didn't hear anything or get woken up. It has made us determined to stay in private accommodation in the future since it is far more relaxing that any camp site.

Cozes is situated just 15 to 20 minutes away from Saint De Georges de Didonne, arguably one of the best beaches in the area. They do charge for parking along the front but the side streets have ample parking without any charges. The evening market was nice to visit. Another close by place to see is Talmont Sur Mer, with the church that is lit up on several days during the week in the summer. We also visited La Rochelle, the Green Venice Way and a number of other places, all easily accessible from Cozes.

You'll find that you are a short drive away from the local Super-U which is a good size and includes a petrol station, with reasonably priced petrol/diesel. There is a large doctors surgery and I recall seeing Vets too.

All in all a very nice place to stay and certainly made our holiday relaxing.

The property was clean on arrival with some essentials waiting for us. The house has a very well equipped kitchen and lovely seating areas to the front & rear, we ate at the front table all the time and never had to eat inside for the duration of our stay. The bedrooms are comfortable with wardrobes and drawers in all rooms and ceiling fans to stay cool, if needed. Plenty of very hot water and both showers (1 over bath) work well. Plenty of comfortable seating in the lounge with a large TV & DVD player (didn't watch any TV). Fast WiFi internet was well used by all and much appreciated after staying in places with a slow or non-existent connection.

The back garden is very large and a great area for children to play - the swings & trampoline got plenty of use... If you like fresh figs there are 2 trees bursting with figs, we didn't time our stay right as they weren't yet ripe!

We visited a few different beaches before we discovered 'Plage des Nonnes' which was about 20 mins away and had easy parking at top of hill and a lovely sandy beach.

We also visited 'Le Cottage' restaurant in nearby Arces and had a fantastic meal.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will probably return in the future.

This is a lovely property with a fantastic garden and outside games provided. Plenty of space with a comfy living area. The outside eating areas were ideal and the kitchen is well-equipped. The beaches were not quite as close as expected but worth driving to.

This was our second stay at this property and will certainly be back again.

That really says it all!

The property is a three bedroom , two bathroom bungalow, comfortably furnished with a large private garden to the rear. Ideal for children or if you like sun bathing. Great BBQ.

The owners Steve and Rita are very friendly and helpful,( even if you ring them early in the morning when the boiler runs out of gas and you have had problems changing the cylinders over ). The instructions were there, I just hadn't read them!!

It's situated in a very quiet lane with little traffic and is within easy walking distance to Cozes. Here you will find a couple of bars, restaurants and a small supermarket.

If you like beaches you are spoilt for choice, Meschers, St Georges, Royan and St Palais-sur-Mere are all nearby, but or favourites are all above St Palais , Lede being our all time favourite.

Lots of places to visit, Talmont, St Georges, Royan, further afield Rochefort, Brouage and Blaye are all well worth the trip. For children a very popular Zoo at

La Palmyre.

Finally must mention the weather, on our two visits in July we have had clear blue sky's, up to 32 degrees and a comfortable breeze. Perfect.

This property was great for our needs, we have two..

This property was great for our needs, we have two dogs who enjoyed the large enclosed garden and the close proximity to beaches and other local amenities just a few minutes drive away. There is lots to do around the area - we particularly loved visiting La palmarye zoo just a short distance away - the best zoo we have ever visited I would recommend this. The house its self was well equipped and catered to our needs, it was clean and tidy and well presented we liked that it had sky and the use of wifi .Overall we were extremely pleased with this property and the local area and we wouldn't hesitate to book again!

We had a great holiday in Cozes, the house was perfect for us it has a really nice interior and was clean and comfortable, there are two outdoor eating spaces at the front and back the house and a huge garden. Our 3 children aged 1,5 and 7yrs loved playing in the garden with trampoline, swings and outdoor games. Cozes is a good base to explore this area, the local beaches are beautiful and only a short drive away, we especially like the beaches at Merschers.

Thank You - we had a fab week here in the summer. We have 2 young boys who enjoyed tearing around the garden - they loved the swings and bouncing on the trampoline in the early evening (tiring them out before bed time !!) Our dog loved chilling in the shade and we were very happy at how secure the garden was - no chance of him escaping !! We loved the local beaches and popping down to Talmont for an ice-cream. We took a day trip over the river to the vineyards which we would highly recommend - especially the wine testing. The Zoo near Royan is a must if you are staying here with children - kept them entertained for the whole day. House is very clean and well equipped for families with lots of space to spread out for us all and we loved having our meals outside - enjoying the peace. Cozes is a lovely little village with everything you need and close enough to pop down to in the morning for croissants. We'll definitely be holidaying in this region again.

The house is detached with large enclosed garden.

Just on the edge of a small town, near enough to the the main roads for travel.

The house is not really done justice by the photos.

It is modern functional and spacious.
