The area is full of beautiful views and unspoilt countryside, where you can walk into the maquis through olive groves and cherry orchards. There are many fortified, medieval, stone built hill top towns to explore and during July and August a wonderful municipal swimming pool at St Saturnin les Apt with a stunning view across the valley to the Luberon Mountains. Drive to Avignon 40 mins, Marseilles 75mins, Aix-en-Provence 60mins, the Camargue 90 mins. Nearest airport Marseilles by Easyjet cheap, or by train to Avignon TGV.
