The property, an 18th century stone barn, was extended and converted by the present owners in 2006/7. It faces south-west and sits in a small tranquil valley surrounded by meadows and trees.

Renazé, a small town of about 2,500 inhabitants is host to the National slate museum. La Petite COQUAIS is south of the town off the D771, whilst further south- west are the boundaries of the departments Mayenne, Maine-et-Loire, Loire Atlantic and Illes-et-Villaine. The Atlantic coast and the wine areas of the lower Loire are all within an hour and half drive away together with some of the historical Chateaux of the Loire valley. The area enjoys many clear star lit nights and is ideal for the amateur astronomer

You will see an abundance of wild life; birds are everywhere, all the usual common birds, blue tits, coaltits, the lesser known marsh tits, jays, owls, nuthatch, wood peckers and the odd kingfisher

Living on site, we will welcome you on arrival and can be on hand to assist, but will respect your privacy. We will provide a starter pack of basic essentials, and should you require anything further, such as a meal because of arrival, please ask.

We regret it is not possible to accept your pets as we have animals of our own
