You will be enchanted when you enter the gates of the property and then enter your spacious vacation home on the left. As you enter the gite you'll see your fully equipped kitchen ahead. To the right is one of the two sitting rooms. This room has a comfortable sofabed for two, chairs, TV and DVD. You continue through the sitting room and enter the Main BR with a queen bed, closet, dresser and stone F/P.
To the left of the entrance(entree) is the second sitting room with dining table, chairs, lounge chair, sofa and access to the bath, wc and second, single BR. This BR has an armoire and tasteful decor. The bath is lovely and new. The tub has a handheld shower also.
The property may be explored and one may take a sunlounger to the small , shallow river ( suitable for young children) and bathe or sit and read. When it is hot it is very comfortable down by the river.
Hiking, biking, horseback riding and nature walks are popular and fun. You may see owls, fox, deer, frogs in the millrace and numerous species of birds. The rolling hills are wonderful for excercise and leisurely outings.
The region is famous for its chateaux( Chenonceau, Loches, Amboise, Chambord, Montpoupon,Chinon, Chaumont-sur-Loire, Cheverny, Azay-le-Rideau, Langeais, Usse, Nitray,Blois and numerous others). For children-adults too- the Zoo Beauval is incredible and 20 mins away. Also you will find fabulous culinary treats in Tours and many restaurants in the region. Within 20 minutes of your home there several renowned restaurants. Wines, food, cheeses and chocolates are abundant and delicious.
Many of the vineyards and wine producers have 'degustations', which are wine tastings, with the hope that you will buy. The Loire wines are highly regarded and you will find many good bargains. Research with a good tourist guide to learn more about the area.
The local fresh produce markets are famous throughout France. Those of Loches, Montrichard and Amboise are our favorites. You will find vegetables, meats, cheeses, sweets and the Epeigne les Bois strawberries and raspberries, which may be the world's best.
