A little piece of paradise 2 steps from the city of Carcassonne where we found ourselves in famile for the 3rd year. We never tire ! The cottage is well equipped, spacious and comfortable. John Hughes, the owner, is a wonderful host, welcoming and friendly, he knows his region and is always available to you about it.

We were a group of very old friends coming together from Ireland and England for a reunion and we think That we were very lucky to find this wonderful place. John Hughes Facilitated us in every way imaginable - he gave us-even sole use of the pool for our stay - and Because of _him_ and his lovely house We had a perfect meeting. The report Was always great with this host. His own house is near the cottage goal you do not see it nor _him_ and he is not intrusive purpose is there if you need _him_. He is very congenial and relaxed and Gite Contresty is absolutely perfect in all ways. You can work well in the wide kitchen is well-qui Organised and totally Supplied with all you need for cooking and you can all relax in the comfortable and spacious living area. The beds are good and very comfortable. There are two great places to aussi barbecue, one outside the house and one beside the pool. The pool is very large and very well-maintained (we loved the robot Who cleaned it every day!) And we swam with a beautiful view over fields of wheat to the distant mountains. We-have absolutely no criticism with this rental - only the Highest Praise for it and our grateful thanks to Mr. Cantecor, the proprietor.
