Gîte Galileo is a beautiful Provence holiday home located in La Colle, a quiet hamlet tucked away on a small hillside. La Colle itself is a hamlet comprising of 3 principal properties, constructed several hundred years ago, completely built of natural stone, and is a good example of the ancient life and times of Provence. Here you will not find traffic jams, noises of the city, pollution, parking tickets or a grey sky. Instead you will find nature in all its glories and will, more than likely, be awaken by the birds and the bees rather than the busy cry of the city.

Our property alone has 30 hectares of private park land, yet this is small compared to the adjoining natural space, some of which is cultivated and some left just as it has been for centuries. La Colle sits on the east face of a small hill ( Altitude 633 m) and has a spectacular view of the surrounding countryside.

Gîte Galileo Sleeps 4 people very comfortably. Accessed by it's own private staircase you enter the gîte's principal room which is 50m2 in size (Overall size app. 80m2). Many people are immediately astounded at the huge original oak beamed suspended roof ! This is a specific type of construction which was practiced over 150 years ago for covering large spaces and is beautifully preserved. In this principal room we have kept the vastness of the space open, and have separated it into sections, so that the overall look of the room has kept it's original aspect. The additions to this room have been created in an overall "Southern European" style.

The lounging area is ideal for viewing the entertainment systems, see one of our DVD's or just relax and listen to a CD while reading a book from our English/French library, Don't forget to bring some of your favourite music which you can play on our digital centre or you can plough through our English film library of over 300 films.

The American Kitchen is fully equipped for up to eight servings, a four burner gas stove, electric oven, full sized dish washer, three different ways to make coffee, tea pot, small quantity of starter commodities; pepper salt sugar etc..., fridge freezer, full sized electric oven, pressure cooker, and a range of other helpful items for your convenience.

The principal bedroom is specifically positioned at the furthest point away from the twin bedroom. It has a 200 x 160 double bed which looks out onto your terrace and valley below which is crested by the mountains kissing the horizon.

From the bed you can enjoy both the sunrise and the sunsets that regularly splash their golden colours across the horizon.

Leading off the main room is the second double bedroom 20m2 in size. This bedroom has two 190 x 90 cm single beds and added to this bedroom is a make up / changing area with hand basin.

Coupled to this twin bedroom is an "en suite " bathroom which has a bath / shower, WC and basin. The bathroom is kited out in a ship like configuration.
