L'Ermitage is a lovely restored country house that boasts mature private gardens and is set in the midst of beautiful French countryside. The property is situated in the Bouriane, a pretty area of trees, hills and rolling farmland lying midway between the valleys of the Lot and Dordogne, Near Cahors and Gourdon.

Weekly markets, shops and restaurants can be found in nearby market towns. Although the house enjoys a country setting, it is convenient as the A20 autoroute and RN20 (D820) give easy access to the surrounding area and the numerous interesting medieval towns nearby. Domme, Sarlat, Rocamadour, Padirac and the river Dordogne are a short drive north, and equidistant southwards is the unspoilt valley of the river Lot with riverside hamlets and the beautiful village of St-Cirq-Lapopie set in a cliff face overlooking the river.
