Beautiful French Holiday Cottage with pool in Tarn, near Cordes and Albi
La Petite Buissonniere is a beautifully restored, spacious and airy French cottage. full of architectural interest in a tranquil, hillside setting that overlooks the River Cerou , farmland and the valley beyond. The property is located in the Tarn Valley, the Languedoc region of the Midi Pyreness, and set in its own garden and woodlands. For those seeking beauty and tranquillity the Tarn is one of the most delightful and unspoiled areas of France.
The region is also steeped in history with many medieval towns dating back to the early 13th century. Nearby is one of the best-preserved medieval villages in France 'Cordes sur Ciel' and 'Albi' spanning the River Tarn with its historical cathedral.
Cordes provides good shopping, restaurants and a Saturday market. Just 20km away is the historical and picturesque city of Albi.
Adjacent to the cottage is the Manor House occupied by the English owners, who are always willing to help with any problems you may have..
The cottage features:
On the ground floor there is a spacious hallway that leads off to two bedrooms; One double bedroom with en suite bathroom lies and a twin bedded room. Adjacent to the twin bedded room is a spacious shower room with toilet.
A galleried stairway leads to the upper floor providing a large open plan living area with outstanding views from the two windows to the front. In addition, there is a fully fitted kitchen in bleached oak with electric oven/hob, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge/freezer.
Dining area with refectory table and lounge with TV, video, video library, radio, CD, and telephone.
To the rear of the lounge, french windows open onto the veranda for outside eating, BBQ and garden.
To the front and side of the cottage are parking area, flower bed, lawn and ‘boule pitch’. There is a table tennis table in the open barn of the Manor House.
There is a separate laundry room, linen and house towels are provided.
The 10 X 5 meter swimming pool is set in its own tranquil setting against the background of a 'pigeonnier'. Sun loungers are provided. Also shaded area with 'tonneau', table and chairs ideal for enjoying a barbeque and a good bottle of wine.

There is much to do. Canoeing, cycling, tennis, golf and horseriding. There are a variety of walks, both leisurely and challenging, and the local markets and vineyards. It is indeed a unique region of France.
The local fetes and markets are full of french flavour and well worth a visit. During the high season, most villages/towns in our area have their 'fiesta' as indeed it does in Salles. The Tarn is an ideal location for 'recharging the batteries'. With some of the most outstanding countryside in France, the scenery and views are forever changing added to which are its historical past and the many medieval towns and villages.
If you do not know the region, it is very rural and the people are friendly and very willing to help, despite 'francais limite'. Traffic here is not a problem, even during the 'High Season'.
