4 luxury family friendly Gîtes with pool in the Aude, near Limoux and Carcassonne

Surroundings

"Entre les Vignes" is built in the old traditional Languedocian way and is surrounded by very old vineyards.
Around "Entre les Vignes" it is very quiet: it's situated on a quiet little lane with no passing traffic, 500 meters from the village Tourreilles. Both from the gîtes as from the pool you have a magnificent view on the surrounding vineyards of the AOC "Blanquette de Limoux" and on the hills of the Corbières!

In the Aude you will find all the beauties of France back in one province:
sandy beaches, ski slopes, old quiet country villages, mediaeval towns and rugged castles, wild gorges with fast flowing rivers, beautiful rolling hills with olive trees, sunflowers and vineyards ...
We consider this therefore as the most beautiful region of France!

You can just hang around, laze and "slow down",
but also go hiking and mountain biking, visit the castles and villages,
or wine tasting at the neighbours ...

You'll find beautiful, rough castles, such as Peyrepertuse with its mediaeval festival, Queribus, Puilaurens, Thermes, or the mysterious Montségur from the Grail legend.

And of course the magnificent medieval Cité of Carcassonne, with its knight tournaments and summer concerts: this is the best preserved mediaeval walled city of France and is on the World Heritage list of UNESCO.

The romantic Canal du Midi, where you can walk or cycle in the shade of centuries old plane trees and watch the boats in the little old sluices (or take a trip on a canal boat), is also on the World Heritage list of UNESCO.

The gîtes:

Each gîte has a surface of 52 m², they are single storey and have no sills.
All gîtes are fully equipped for 4 to 6 people:
Free WIFI in every gîte.
Spacious living room: sitting area with armchair and comfortable double sofa bed, TV, DVD player, radio-cd player, 6 person dining table
Kitchen-corner: dishwasher, gas cooker, extractor and fridge
Bathroom: shower, wash stand, heating and separated toilet
Bedroom with a double bed and wardrobe
Bedroom with two single beds (can be put together to make a double bed) and a wardrobe
Blankets and pillows are available, bed linen are included in the price
Heating in all rooms
Each gîte has 2 large terraces: 25 m2 in front (eastside), and 25 m2 at the back (westside), therefore you can choose either sun or shade.

Gîte "la Blanquette" is accessible to wheelchairs

All 4 gîtes have free access to the large garden
There is a swing in the garden for the children
A cot and highchair are available (free but reservation required)
There is a communal washing machine, which may be used for free.
There is a private parking on the property.
The baker passes 3 times a week at the gîtes! (in season).
A butcher passes once or twice a week at the village.
Supermarkets are at 5 km from our gîtes.
Cafes and restaurants can be found in Limoux (7 km).
