A wide range of dairy products are produced and exported - Norman cheeses include Camembert and Boursin. Fish and seafood are of superior quality in Normandy . Turbot and oysters from the Cotentin Peninsula are major delicacies throughout France . Normandy is the chief oyster-cultivating, scallop-exporting, and mussel-raising region in France . Normandy is also famous for breeding many top racehorses.

Le Mont Saint Michel - is a rocky tidal island which is located approximately one kilometre off the country's north coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches.A UNESCO world heritage site.
Rouen – located on the River Seine, it is the historical capital city of Normandy and the Haute-Normandie region. Previously was one of the largest and most prosperous cities of medieval Europe. Well known for its Notre Dame cathedral.
Coutances – situated in the Manche department, the Coutances Cathedral is a major building from Norman times, notable for being home to a botanical garden and an Art museum.
Cherbourg – a city in the Manche department at the north of the Cotentin Peninsula . Visit the Musee de la Liberation, La Cite de la Mer and the Abbaye du Voeu.
Caen – historical capital of the Calvados department in the Basse-Normandie region. Much of the town was destroyed from heavy fighting during the Battle of Normandy in 1944.
Falaise – a town in the Calvados department and birthplace of William the Conqueror. Well known for the Battle of the Falaise Pocket, when the Allied forces defeated two German armies in the reconquest of France in August 1944.
Giverny – most famous for being where Claude Monet lived, located in the Eure.
Bayeux - a major tourist attraction most famous for its tapestry to commemorate the Battle of Hastings.
Normandy Landing Beaches – where the Allied forces landed for the Invasion of Normandy on Tuesday, 6 June 1944 (D-Day).
Barfleur – the location of the decisive naval battle of the Nine Years' War, known to the British as the War of the English Succession.
Beuvron-en-Auge – in Calvados and has been given the label of one of ‘The most beautiful villages of France ’.
Chateau Gaillard – a medieval castle, located above the town of Les Andelys in the Eure department.
