Self catering gites to rent in Loire-Atlantique
Situated mid way between Nantes and Rennes, in Old Brittany, Le Petit Caletre (The Little Village) is a small complex of gites in a rural setting 5km from the small town of Guémené-Penfao and the village of Plessé, thus making an ideal base for exploring the Southern Brittany and the Western Loire regions of France, regions which are the epitome of the Celtic friendliness, charm and character of this unspoilt part of rural France, yet within easy reach for the British holidaymaker.
Accommodation:Le Petit Caletre (The little village) consists of the original Breton “Longère” farmhouse and milking parlour, which now make up one gites and accommodation for the on-site owners, plus the old cow byre which has been converted into the second gite.
The gîtes - These tastefully renovated gites have one double and one twin bedroom (Le Coucher du Soleil (Sunset) has a third bedroom with full size bunk beds). Notre Rêve (Our Dream) and Le Coucher du Soleil have fully equipped open plan kitchens/living area. Everything is included: microwave, full cooker, fridge, freezer, automatic washing machine, all bed linens, hand, bath beach and tea towels, washing up liquids, wash powder, water, heating, electricity, cassette radio, French/English plug adapters and much more. All you need to bring are your own personal items. Each also has its own private patio area with BBQ and garden furniture. Cots and high chairs are available for our younger guests and baby sitters can be arranged if mum and dad want to go out for a romantic meal in one of our many local restaurants.
All gites share access to sizeable lawned gardens with plenty of room for children to play safely. A lovely place to sit and relax, make friends and watch the children playing in the large paddling pool or swings.
Notre Rêve - Originally the old cow byre, sleeping 4. This cottage has its own private garden to the rear.
Le Coucher du Soleil – Previously the old milking parlour plus part of the original “Longère” farmhouse, sleeping 6.
