  POITOU-CHARENTES - Poitou-Charentes is mainly rural, and even the regional capital Poitiers has less than 100,000 inhabitants. The city is most famous for its ancient churches, including the St. John's Baptistry, reputedly the oldest place of Christian worship in France, and the Notre-Dame la Grande church, one of the most famous and distinctive Romanesque churches in France. It is one of the sunniest areas in France, boasting over 2,250 hours of sunshine every year and there are some lively beach resorts, popular with tourists and watersport enthusiasts. Good golf courses can be found in the Poitiers area.

  PARIS - Paris is one of the world's leading business and cultural centres, and one of the world's most popular tourist destinations with 45 million visitors every year. The major airlines such as EasyJet, British Airways, Air France, FlyBe, Jet2, RyanAir and AerLingus all serve a network of major towns and cities throughout France - in some cases several times each day.
